Students study general arrangement and structure of airplanes and helicopters of various civil and military purposes as well as their main assembly units: wings, fuselages, empennage, and landing gear. They study purposes, principles of operation, structures of various systems, and airplane and helicopter equipment: control systems (principal and auxiliary); life-support and survival systems, fuel systems, etc. They study structure and principles of main integral parts of power plants equipment with various types of engines.

They study main principles and rules of engineering and designing of both airplanes and helicopters in general (general designing) as well as their separate assembly units: wings, empennage, and landing gear. They study engineering and designing of separate assembly units and components of aircraft structures: trailing-edge flaps, leading-edge flaps, control surfaces, spars, ribs, panels, ring units, engine mounting systems, etc.

The engineering and designing problems are studied with a wide application of integrated computer technologies CAD/CAM/CAE in UNIGRAPHICS, ADEM, COMPAS systems.

Students study the whole complex of disciplines, which cover the basic spheres of the preparation for production of airplanes and helicopters. As a result of instruction they obtain knowledge about the system approaches to the complex technology of assembly of airplanes and helicopters; about the design procedure of the technical processes of assembling the typical structures of separate units, compartments, sections, assembly units, on previously given technical specifications ;about the directive technologies at aircraft construction enterprise and its structure; about the technological directions of the guarantee of reliability and service life in the sphere of assembly-line production; they study to conduct technological and organizational preparation on the aircraft enterprise and so forth

Beside the specific for the aircraft design knowledge the graduates acquire vocational abilities and skills in the wide field of base mechanical engineering technologies (CAD/CAM/CAE, blank-stamping production, machining, welding, etc.), which makes it possible to successfully work in practice at any industrial enterprises of Ukraine and foreign countries, where such technologies are adapted.

The major subject is the technology of aircraft engine manufacture, technological preparation for manufacture and repair of aircraft engines

Students master contemporary methodologies of design of technological processes of parts manufacturing, assembling, aircraft engine testing and repairing, special rigging, tools cutting and measuring systems controlling, including the wide use of the newest integrated computer technologies CAD/CAM/CAE.

Students take 2-d educational training, as well as 1-st and 2-nd practical and pre-graduate training at foremost aircraft engine-building and assembly unit building enterprises

 
Design & Manufacture of Aircraft components from composite Materials- Specialization

Major subject: Designing and Manufacturing Articles Made of Composites
 
Direction: Aviation and Cosmonautics
 
Brief annotation of the major subject:
Students study different airframe structures made of new contemporary materials – composites, which make it possible to ensure structure with its greatest strength. The methods of calculation and design of articles made of CM make it possible for students in future to create structures for both aviation and national economy.
The study of technology of production of the articles made of CM will allow students to realize the created structures in the production of aircraft companies and small enterprises.
 
 
 
Bachelors of Avionics-4 years
 
Avionics is short for "aviation electronics". It comprises electronic systems for use on aircraft, artificial satellites and spacecraft, comprising communications, navigation and the display and management of multiple systems. It also includes the hundreds of systems that are fitted to aircraft to meet individual roles, these can be as simple as a search light for a police helicopter or as complicated as the tactical system for an Airborne Early Warning platform

Students learn how to design by mean of up-dated informartion technologies and how to control various aerospace, power and other objects and processes as well as how to develop optimal and intelligent algorithms of control, use principles of control in technical and man-machine systems, develop architecture of computer systems and use computers to solve the problems of control of objects in real time; students also learn how to create software of computer intelligent control systems by applying up-dated technologies of visual programming.
